Academic Resources

  • A student highlights their homework

Our district cares greatly about our students and families. We have provided a list of resources to support our students' learning at home. The list is not meant to be comprehensive but instead includes the most used resources. Individual schools may have additional resources available for families. Students also have access to a variety of apps on the district-provided iPad that they can use at school or home.

Omaha Public Schools also offers academic support through acceleration tutoring for students in grades 2nd through high school. Identified students will receive high-dosage tutoring acceleration support, which is individualized or small-group structured tutoring support during the school day. Our school staff will focus on three key areas:

    • Pre-teach or preview content with students
    • Provide prior knowledge review
    • Ensure students keep pace with curriculum so they don’t fall behind

This type of consistent support will help students strengthen core skills, build confidence and accelerate learning growth.

    Drop-in Tutoring at High Schools

In addition, our high schools will offer drop-in tutoring. Students can attend sessions before or after school to receive help with assignments, test preparation or specific subject areas. Specific dates/times will be shared by each school. No appointment is needed—students can simply stop by during open times when they need extra support.
