About Ms. Ingram

Hi! I’m Ms. Ingram, Marrs counselor of students with the last name that starts with the letter “M” and through the letter “Q”. A little about me…after high school, I decided against college and started working at an insurance company. I quickly realized that I needed more and started college (it’s never too late!). I attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and majored in English, History and Secondary Education. I began my career in Omaha Public Schools in 1997, working at an alternative school. After working for a few years as a Social Studies teacher, I returned to school and earned my counseling degree. I moved to Marrs in the fall of 2011 and have absolutely loved every minute of it!

In my personal life, I have one daughter, two cats and a dog named Shandy. Shandy came into my life in 2019 at a year and a half old. She was a rescue dog that I looked forever for! We had to do a lot of training, but her personality was right and she could handled big crowds, so I knew she would be a perfect fit for our school. Shandy started school in the Spring of 2020, right before Covid closed the schools. She returned in the fall of 2020 and has been here ever since, laying on the couch, waiting for belly rubs and snacks from staff and students alike.

A few years ago, I returned to college and received my clinical therapy certificate and plan on working in the field of therapy when I retire from Omaha Public Schools. Until then, I’m enjoying every moment of working at such an amazing school with the most fabulous staff and students in the district!

Please feel free to contact me if you need anything!

About Mr. Ruzicka

I started my career as a Science teacher and Coach for football and track and field. I taught nine years before I became a school counselor here at Marrs Middle School.  This is my 18th year at Marrs as a Counselor and my 20th year living in our South Omaha Community. I hope to serve our South Omaha Community until I retire and help take care of my parents and older brothers.

About Mrs. Jensen

Hello! I am Kaelynn Jensen and I am one of the school counselors here at Marrs Middle School. I serve students with the last names R-Z. I have been a school counselor since 2020 and love being able to help students in their academic, social emotional, and after high school endeavors. I am a native of Omaha as this is where I grew up, went to school, and attended college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I look forward to serving the South Omaha community and the students/families here at Marrs. Please reach out if you have any questions.
