PRINCIPAL

Mrs. Jennifer Schlapia has been with the Omaha Public School District since 1998, starting out in special education and later teaching 6th grade.  She transitioned into leadership roles, serving as an Assistant principal before becoming the principal here at Jefferson Elementary.  Mrs. Schlapia is passionate about fostering a supportive, inclusive school environment where students and staff thrive. Jefferson is a community that values both academic and personal growth. She encourages both students and staff to become life-long learners.  Mrs. Schlapia loves spending her free time with her family and dogs!  Her dog, Catie is the therapy dog for Jefferson Elementary!
