Next Level Learning

  • Next Level Learning provides additional enrichment opportunities for identified students. 

    Eligible students will be invited to Next Level Learning. Details will be shared directly with families.

Advanced Academics

  • Rising Scholars: The Advanced Academics Conference

    Explore topics like advanced notetaking, critical reading, and time management. Develop course-specific skills to prepare you for success in math, science and language classes.

    • Eligibility requirements: Any incoming 9-12 grade student who is registered for or considering Honors, AP, Cambridge, IB, Dual Enrollment, or Early College courses.
    • Location: Choose Burke High, North High or Bryan High
    • Date and time: June 11-13, 2025, 12:30-3:30 p.m. daily
    • Transportation: Students are responsible for transportation to the location of their choice. There will be a trip to UNO with provided transportation from the school.

Music & Performing Arts

  • Summer Musical: HADESTOWN Teen Edition - June 2-29 with performances June 27-29

    Participate in a district-wide summer musical production.

     

    Beveridge Instrumental Camp - June 2-25

    Come play popular music, try out jazz band, guitar and more at this casual summer band and strings camp.

    • Grade level: Incoming sixth through incoming ninth grade, must be enrolled in band or strings at their school
    • Location: Beveridge Middle
    • Time: 8-11 a.m. daily, no camp June 19
    • Performance: June 25

    Marrs Instrumental Camp - June 2-13

    Come play fun pop music, learn a new instrument, play games and meet other instrumental students.

    • Grade level: Incoming sixth through incoming ninth grade, must be enrolled in band or strings at their school
    • Location: Marrs Middle
    • Time: 8-11 a.m. daily
    • Performance: June 13

    Show Choir Camp - May 27-31

    • Grade level: Incoming seventh through incoming 12th grade
    • Location: South High
    • Time: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
    • Performance: May 31

    Mariachi Camp - July 7-11

    Come learn some fun Mariachi music and develop your skills in a new genre and style.

    • Grade level: Incoming sixth through incoming 12th grade vocal and instrumental students, elementary students currently in an Omaha Public Schools mariachi program
    • Location: Central High
    • Time: 8-11 a.m. daily
    • Performance: July 11
