  • Westview Announcements for Week of May 6-9, 2025 

    Monday, May 6 (A Day)

    • Westview’s Mission is to strive to have a strong community of engaged students driven to learn, lead, and succeed. Our goal is to shape our students to be leaders of society by promoting collaboration, confidence, and academic excellence.
    • Congratulations to the following April 5-Star Freshman! Team Blue- Kayden Evans, Landen Bader, Alyvia Gordon, Abbigayle Gordon. Team Orange- London Curry, Nina Joerz, Elliot Andersen, Cate Wagner. Team Black- Julian Knight, Jacob Kejr, Victor Rozier-Epting, Ella Parkert-Schmidt. All 5-Star Freshman from the 24-25 school year will be receiving an invitation from one of their teachers to attend our pancake man breakfast on May 13th. We can't wait to announce our 5-Star Freshman of the Year at our breakfast!
    • If you see the following students, please give them a shout out because they've been recognized by their teachers as the April Pathway Students of the Month! Zoe Gleason was recognized for Environmental Studies, Lily Wilson was recognized for Civil Engineering, Ayden Bunce was recognized for Clean Energy, Conner Hinken was recognized for Entrepreneurship & Virtual Enterprise, Deycy Lagunas-Roldan was recognized for Business Management, Magnus Crinklaw Jimenez was recognized for Business Technology, Antoine Gamble was recognized for Marketing, Niah Rodriguez was recognized for Sports Medicine, Anna Adams was recognized for Therapeutics, Ashlyn Oldenburg was recognized for Biomechanics, and Jacie Thompson was recognized as the Education Student of the Month. Each demonstrated leadership and outstanding achievement within their pathway courses. Find their pictures on the Pathway Bulletin Board outside of studio 113b. A huge congratulations to each of them!
    • Congratulations to Fenou Zinzindohoue, Kaitlyn Holmes, and Jill Kripal for placing at state journalism last week and to Lauren Loper for taking home another state champion gold medal for the journalism program!
    • Applications for Omaha Virtual School are open now through May 7th. If you are considering remote learning for next school year, be sure to visit with your parents/guardians about this opportunity. Email your counselor for a link to the application. 
    • Hey wolverines! What are you doing for this upcoming summer break? Well Campus Life Westview would like you to come be a part of our summer adventures! There is camp, water parks, tubing in lake or river, cookouts and the list continues. So for more information see Mr. Busby or come visit us at studio 223!
    • There will be an end of year meeting for all girls basketball players on Thursday May 13th during Wolverine wrap-up. Please come to Mr. Simons classroom 113B, and we will take attendance during the meeting. Please bring your uniform, warm-up, and travel gear to the end of year meeting. We look forward to getting the team together to start preparing for next season.
    • Clear out your backpacks and lockers early and donate your gently used school supplies to future Westview students. Drop off notebooks, binders, and other school supplies in the boxes outside studio 124.
    • The concession stand will be open at the end of the school day and will be selling candy, drinks, and chips. We will be accepting cash only.
    • A limited supply of yearbooks is available for purchase. They are on a first-come, first serve basis. Come see Mrs. Schmidt in Studio 124 with your $60 if you are interested in purchasing one! 

    Tuesday, May 7 (B Day)

    • There will be an end of year meeting for all girls basketball players on Thursday May 13th during Wolverine wrap-up. Please come to Mr. Simons classroom 113B.

    • Good Luck to the Four- JROTC Robotics Team, as they will depart tomorrow morning for the JROTC VEX Robotics National Championships in Dallas, Texas, Cadets will Return Monday Night, 12 May 1025.
