Hartman's focus is on preparing all students academically to acquire success. Teachers use a variety of strategies, such as differentiation, tiered assignments, special projects, flexible grouping, compacting curriculum, and subject acceleration when necessary, so all Hartman students can reach their highest potential. Furthermore, Hartman sets high expectations for all students to be safe, responsible, and respectful citizens. These expectations are life skills that will be beneficial for all students throughout their lives.

History

Hartman School was originally constructed for the 1964-1965 school year. A new addition was added to the building some years later. The new addition consisted of 20 classrooms for PreK through sixth grade. Building renovations and another addition in 2018-2020 created a new look for Hartman. The building currently serves 19 sections of PreK through fifth grades. Hartman Elementary offers art, music, instrumental music (4th/5th grade), library/media, physical education, GATE, and counseling support.
