    Throughout Omaha Public Schools, counselors play a vital role in supporting our students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. At Rose Hill, our school counselor interacts with students regularly through whole class lessons, small group interventions, and individual response services.

     

    Our School Counselor

    • Works alongside teachers and families to help students develop socially and emotionally, and to help remove barriers to learning
    • Delivers classroom lessons teaching social, emotional, and academic skills and knowledge of career development
    • Facilitates small group counseling
    • Works with students in short-term, individual counseling sessions
    • Consults with families and teachers
    • Refers students and families to community partners (including longer-term therapy services)
    • Implements schoolwide programming

     

     

    Rose Hill’s school counselor provides proactive lessons throughout the school year on the following topics:
