    • Students smiling and hugging

Counselors throughout Omaha Public Schools work to develop student success in
    •
    • academic, social and college and career readiness.  Counselors interact with students
    •
    • regularly. They provide classroom instruction and activities to develop academic and
    •
    • emotional skills. They also provide individual and small group counseling. These small
    •
    • groups settings can help students resolve conflict, practice skills and think through their
    •
    • actions. As students are registering for high school classes and/or preparing for the next
    •
    • stage of life after graduation, counselors are there to support students as they think
    •
    • through their hobbies, skills and future goals.
